Among other things, President Trump's Executive Order 14153, titled "Unleashing Alaska's Extraordinary Resource Potential" (January 20, 2025) directs federal agencies to immediately end "the assault on Alaska's sovereignty and its ability to responsibly develop...for the benefit of the Nation" and directs agencies to "rescind, revoke, revise, amend, defer, or grant exemptions from any and all regulations, orders, guidance documents, policies, and any other similar agency actions" that burden Alaska.
