As a United States Senator, Senator Jim Justice takes great pride in the opportunity to nominate students from West Virginia to the United States Service Academies.
To apply to be considered for the Class of 2030’s nominations, you must be:

A legal resident of West Virginia and a United States citizen

At least 17 years old but not yet 23 years old on July 1st of the year you would enter the academy, and less than 25 years old for the Merchant Marine Academy
And do these two things:
1) Contact the Service Academy directly to open a pre-candidate file. You must have an open candidate file prior to the interview in December to receive a nomination. You may do so here:
2) Apply for a nomination from the Senator to a Service Academy. Completed applications for a nomination must be received in Senator Justice's office no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on October 24th with all necessary documentation. This is a firm deadline.
