W-J-C-L'S STEPHEN MOODY JOINS US LIVE ON THIS FOURTH OF JULY TO SHOW US THAT HAPPY HOMECOMING. IT'S BEEN NINE MONTHS SINCE OVER 200 SOLDIERS FROM THE 3RD INFANTRY DIVISION HAVE SEEN THEIR FAMILIES.BUT THANKFULLY, LAST NIGHT THAT ALL CHANGED. CHECK OUT THIS INCREDIBLE FOOTAGE FROM JUST AFTER 11 O'CLOCK LAST NIGHT.FAMILIES LINED UP AND FULL OF ENERGY AS THEY WAITED FOR THEIR LOVED ONES TO RETURN TO FORT STEWART. THESE SOLDIERS LED THE 3RD I-D RESOLUTE SUPPORT SUSTAINMENT BRIGADE.SOME OF THEIR TASKS INCLUDED MOVING MORE THAN 100-MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF RATIONS, ISSUING 25-HUNDRED GALLONS OF FUEL DAILY, AND MANAGING MORE THAT 630 MILLION ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION.WJCL CAUGHT WITH SERGEANT FIRST CLASS BARTHOLOMEW ANDERSON AFTER THE CEREMONY.HE DESCRIBED HOW IT FELT TO HEAR THE OVATION FROM THE CROWD. "HAPPY TEARS.GOOD ONES.IN MY CASE.THIS IS MY DAUGHTER LILLIAN.I HAVE MY WIFE, MY FOUR BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, MY MOTHER AND FATHER, MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD, MY WIFE'S LITTLE SISTER.IT'S NICE TO HAVE ALL MY FAMILY HERE ON HAND". It's been nine months since 200 soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division have seen their families. But thankfully, Tuesday night that all changed.Families lined up and were full of energy as they waited for their loved ones to return to Fort Stewart. These soldiers led the 3rd I-D Resolute Support Sustainment Brigade. Some of their tasks included moving more than 100-million dollars’ worth of rations, issuing 25-hundred gallons of fuel daily, and managing more that 630 million rounds of ammunition. WJCL caught up with Sergeant First Class Bartholomew Anderson after the ceremony. He described how it felt to hear the ovation from the crowd. "Happy tears. Good ones in my case. I have my wife, my four beautiful children, my mother and father, my best friend in the world, my wife's little sister. It's nice to have all my family here on hand,” said Sergeant Anderson. Sergeant Anderson added that everything went well, and he's thankful that everyone returned home safely.
