On One-year Anniversary, Lankford Harkens Back to Peace Agreements under Trump in Contrast to Chaos under Biden

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today offered the following statement in commemoration of the first anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords last year, which Lankford attended at the White House with President Trump and the leaders of Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates:

“At this time last year, I stood with President Trump and leaders from Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates as they signed a peace agreement that most said was not possible. The Abraham Accords were designed to add more nations in the future, and two other nations joined the Accords just a few weeks later, Morocco and Sudan. As a nation, we are capable of leading nations away from the status quo of hate, misunderstanding, and a lifetime of disagreement to real reconciliation. I will continue to support Israel, encourage the further expansion of the Abraham Accords, and share the benefits of making peace with Israel around the world.”
