Senator Lankford Supports NDAA

WASHINGTON, DC – Senator James Lankford (R-OK) today supported the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), HR 2810, which passed the Senate by a vote of 89 to 8:

“Our nation faces continued threats from aggressors in North Korea, ISIS, al Qaeda, and other extremist organizations. Passing the National Defense Authorization Act is important in order to ensure the men and women serving in the Armed Forces have what they need as they protect our nation and allies. This bill approves the policies that are critical for the US military and focuses on providing needed equipment and technology through upgrading our aerial refueling tanker fleet with KC-46, continuing to improve our missile defense, replacing our aging training aircraft, and it prioritizes a pay raise for all troops. I’m grateful Congress has passed this bipartisan bill to enhance our military’s readiness and continue to provide the equipment and training that are necessary for the safety, security, and reliability of the many men and women that selflessly keep us safe and protect our nation.”
