The Community Services Foundation of Cecil County, Inc. acquires and distributes funds, materials, and resources for the benefit of the needy, disadvantaged, disabled, and qualified residents of Cecil County. The CSF was organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes, to include the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The following agencies fall under the Community Services Foundation:
The Cecil County Child Advocacy Center brings together professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, the State’s Attorney’s Office, ChristianaCare Union Hospital, and mental health providers to function as a multidisciplinary team. This team addresses the needs of child victims and their families throughout the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases.
The Bridge, Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis Center (DVRCC)
The Bridge provides short-term crisis intervention services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Services may include temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence, advocacy, court and hospital accompaniment, crisis counseling, support groups, emergency legal representation, and referrals to other appropriate community resources.
Family Violence Coordinating Council
The purposes of the Cecil County Family Violence Coordinating Council are to decrease the incidence of family violence in Cecil County by creating a system for the coordinated community response and to set a community standard of zero tolerance for family violence in Cecil County.
The Help Center provides clothing, emergency food, and other general assistance.
