Senator Kamala Harris Answers All Our Coronavirus Questions, Concerns

Kamala Harris Launches Presidential Campaign In Her Hometown Of Oakland

Senator Kamala Harris phoned in on Tuesday, March 17, to help answer some of our Coronavirus questions and concerns. Harris, who is currently in Washington, D.C., also addressed with Ryan Seacrest's cohost Sisanie on-air if she’d consider a Vice Presidential run alongside current Presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Harris shared that while she feels we “need to move quicker” in regards to the rapidly spreading Coronavirus outbreak, the administration is finally “taking this seriously.”

“Everyone should be putting pressure on their senators all over the country,” Harris urged. “I’m here waiting and pressuring the leadership to put something on the floor for us to vote for paid sick leave … they’ve sent a bill over and now it’s on the United States to act.”

Harris explained this would be the second phase to what’s already been in motion in regards to paid leave and tests being made readily available and free.

As for if she predicts a national shutdown will occur like Italy, Harris admitted she doesn’t know yet but that this is the time to be patient, kind and helpful to others while still practicing social distancing to “flatten the curve.”
