Manchin Celebrates One Year Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

West Virginia awarded more than $1.9 billion since passage of Manchin’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) celebrated the one year anniversary of the signing of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Last year, Senator Manchin led the bipartisan group that negotiated the historic legislation.

“One year ago, President Biden signed our historic and bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law to help address the infrastructure needs of our nation while creating good-paying jobs and growing our economy. In the last year, West Virginia has received more than $1.9 billion in funding to address our crumbling roads and bridges, expand reliable, affordable broadband access and replace our old drinking and wastewater systems across the state. Over the next decade, West Virginia will continue to see billions of dollars invested in our great state to help spur economic growth and support the needs of our communities. This is a once in a generation investment into our infrastructure needs across the country, and I’m proud to see these funds put to work across the Mountain State.”
