Manchin Votes For Bipartisan COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) voted for the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act. The Senate passed the legislation 94-1.

“The rise in hate crimes and harassment against Asian Americans throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic is unacceptable and un-American. Today, I voted for the bipartisan COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act because no American should be the subject of harassment and hate. This legislation is a fantastic example of what can be accomplished when Senators put partisanship aside and the needs of the American people first.”
