Romney unveils bill to improve national wildfire policy

DRAPER, Utah (KUTV) — U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney is announcing his bill to establish a wildfire commission.

The commission would conduct a national review of wildfire policy and make recommendations to Congress.

Draper City Mayor Troy Walker and Acting Director of the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands Jamie Barnes joined the senator as he unveiled the bill.

The announcement is taking place in Draper, Utah at the Little Valley Trailhead on Traverse Ridge Road.
