ICYMI: Rubio Joins Fox and Friends

Mar 25, 2024 | Press Releases

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) joined Fox and Friends to discuss the ISIS attack against Russia and the possibility of terrorists crossing the U.S. southern border. Watch the full interview on YouTube and Rumble.

On the ISIS terrorist attack against Russia:

“[ISIS] has always hated Russia. They hate Iran too. But I think what’s important for us [to realize], beyond this horrible tragedy, is the fact that it took four people [to carry out] this carnage. We’ve had nine million people come across our border illegally. No one can tell me that of the nine million people that have entered this country illegally, there isn’t a really high probability that at least four are members of an organization like this.

“The FBI director himself confirmed to me in an open hearing of the Intelligence Committee that they are very concerned about a trafficking network that is linked to terrorists like ISIS. [This group is] trafficking people for money. It’s a business for them. But you’re telling me if you own a trafficking business, you’re not going to use it to try to get terrorists in the United States? ISIS would love to do what they did in Moscow here in the United States, in multiple places.

“The sad part about it is ISIS was wiped out at the end of the Trump presidency. ISIS basically was not a functional entity, a handful of guys in caves trying to figure out who was going to get the camel for the day. Now these guys are back and operating inside of Russia, inside of Iran.”

On ISIS and other terrorist organizations coming across the U.S. southern border:

“If you’re ISIS, you want to attack the United States. You say: ‘Hey, we’ve got to get ten people in there to do an attack. Well, it’s easy. Let’s just send them across the southern border. We already traffick people for money. Let’s just stick ten of them in there with fake passports.’

“These guys can buy passports. There’s dozens of countries [where] you can buy a document that says you’re so and so, and it’s an official government document. You bribe somebody, and now you’re inside of America.

“It only took four people to do what they did. In Moscow. We’ve had nine million people that have entered this country unlawfully and illegally. It only takes four to do this kind of carnage.”

On the claim that the Senate’s bipartisan immigration bill would fix the border crisis:

“That bill wouldn’t have done anything to stop something like that. That bill would have hired a bunch more of these asylum officers who would then have the power to give people asylum at the border, without even a review from a judge, immediately. They would have also qualified to get a work permit immediately.

“That would have been a magnet that actually would have brought more people here. Now, at least, they have to wait six months for a work permit. They’d get one right away at the border, and some of them would get asylum immediately, which would put them on a pathway to citizenship.”
