Florida lawmakers press Congress to take action on Hurricane Michael disaster package. More than six months after the Category 5 storm devastated the Panhandle, members of the Congressional FL delegation are still working to secure more federal aid for hurricane victims.

Various Florida Republican lawmakers are blaming Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill for the delays in approving that aid. But Democratic leaders, like Speaker Nancy Pelosi, say they are fighting to see funds also approved for hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
