UPDATED: A look at the guests this weekend on Orlando TV’s public affairs shows:

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., talks to Greg Warmoth on “Central Florida Spotlight” at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on WFTV-Channel 9. Former Gov. Scott shares his initial impressions of the Senate, his prescription medicine legislation, the GOP health-care plan and his role as President Donald Trump’s point man on the plan. Other topics include Puerto Rico disaster relief and Puerto Rico statehood, new Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Robert Mueller report. In a final segment, WFTV political reporter Christopher Heath analyzes the interview and Scott’s shift from governor to senator.

“Orlando Matters” will focus on Seminole County’s new plan to combat the growing number of opioid overdoses at 10 a.m. Saturday on WOFL-Channel 35. Sheriff Dennis Lemma discusses the promising early results from SCORE (the new Seminole Collaborative Opioid Response Team). Host Ryan Elijah also interviews Lisa Lewis, Volusia County supervisor of elections, about the special election that will be conducted only by mail. (The Orlando Sentinel has a content-sharing agreement with WOFL.)

University of Central Florida quarterback McKenzie Milton talks to Justin Warmoth on “The Weekly on ClickOrlando.com” at 8 a.m. Sunday on WKMG-Channel 6. Warmoth and News 6 sports director Jamie Seh interview Milton, who discusses his severe leg injury, his faith and his belief that he’ll play again. Seh focuses on Milton’s future at UCF, and Warmoth asks about Milton’s faith and recovery.

“NewsNight” offers its second episode at 8:30 p.m. Friday on WUCF TV with repeats at 9 and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Host Nancy Alvarez of WFTV-Channel 9 talks to Xander Peters of Orlando Weekly, Racquel Asa of WFTV and Steve Lemongello of Orlando Sentinel. They discuss the legalization of smokable marijuana, the continued construction of the I-4 Ultimate Project and Orlando’s status as a sports town with the Orlando Magic headed to the playoffs.

State Rep. Anna Eskamani will be featured on two Sunday programs from Spectrum News 13.

She talks to “Political Connections” at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday. She discusses the challenges and successes of serving in the House. PolitiFact Truth-O-Meter rates a claim by Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., on tax refunds and the GOP tax law.

Eskamani is also a guest on “In Focus With Allison Walker-Torres” at 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Sunday .The topic is tax transparency in Florida, and the guests explore legislative proposals and the potential implications for taxpayers. Other guests are state Sen. Joe Gruters, R-Sarasota; Sean Snaith, director, Institute for Economic Competitiveness at University of Central Florida; and Robert Weissert, executive vice president, Florida Tax Watch.
