A long-awaited disaster relief bill is now awaiting the President's signature after it passed the U.S. Senate on Thursday.

The bill is expected to help several states recovering from wildfires, floods and hurricanes. That includes Florida.

Regardless of the win, Florida Senator Rick Scott told reporters he thinks leaders need to do better.

"This place is dysfunctional. It makes no sense," Senator Scott said. "Think about it. This passed 85 to 8. So you know there is a lot of politics In this. This took 225 days. So, I think it's ridiculous the politics but I'm going to continue to work hard for Florida."

Republican leaders agree to leave out President Trump's request to address an influx of Central American migrants. The President said he will sign the legislation.
