Senator Rick Scott comes to West Palm to raise awareness about hurricane preparedness

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Sen. Rick Scott (R-Florida) is visiting West Palm Beach to help raise awareness for hurricane preparedness.

Sen. Scott toured the Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center, where he spoke about the importance of being prepared for this year's hurricane season, which started Wednesday, June 1.

"You can rebuild your house, but you can't rebuild your life," said Scott.
