WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Tillis joined President Trump and Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee at the White House to commemorate the record-setting pace of President Trump’s judicial nominees, now at more than 150 judges confirmed and counting by the week.

Senator Tillis, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has been on the frontlines in the successful effort to guide President Trump’s judicial nominees through the confirmation process, including beating back Democrats’ attempts to block Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, who were both ultimately confirmed to serve as Supreme Court associate justices.

“It was an honor to join President Trump at the White House today, and I’m proud to stand with the President and work to confirm his judicial nominees, including putting Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court,” said Senator Tillis. “President Trump promised to remake the federal judiciary by nominating highly-qualified conservative judges, and although we have seen unprecedented obstruction and despicable and false character attacks, we have worked together and have prevailed at confirming judges at a record pace. Our work is not done. While House Democrats will continue to spend all their time and energy with their baseless, politically-motivated effort to impeach President Trump, I look forward to continuing the fight and getting many more of the President’s judges confirmed.”
