New help for veterans exposed to toxic dangers.

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand joined with others at the VA in Henrietta on Friday to highlight 'the Pact Act', - which provides benefits for troops exposed to the hazards of burn pits.

Local veterans were able to receive assistance in applying for those benefits.

"I also want to stress that the Pact Act expanded eligibility for toxic exposure claims, so even if you were previously denied, you can reapply and may well be covered," said Senator Gillibrand.
