September Squeal Award: Congressional Democrats Have Gone Hog Wild with their Reckless Tax and Spend Spree

D.C. Democrats have gone hog wild, passing one trillion dollar bill after another with little, if any, concern about the economic consequences.

They are now rushing to pass a $3.5 trillion bill, packed full of pork and progressive priorities, including parts of the Green New Deal, which would be the single most expensive bill ever approved by Congress.

To pay for the pricey partisan pet projects, the Democrats are plotting to raise taxes and coerce Republicans into suspending the debt limit, which would hand them a blank check to spend an endless amount.

Instead of pigging out on more of your hard earned tax dollars or sinking the nation deeper into debt, Congress needs take a butcher’s knife to the budget and trim the fat.

But in typical D.C. fashion, that option isn’t even being considered.

Every month over the past six years, I have served up billions of dollars of Washington waste that could be eliminated from the budget, including unnecessary spending on:

• Government swag and propaganda;
• Welfare to fund politicians’ campaigns for president;
• Boondoggle transit projects that are billions of dollars over budget and years behind schedule;
• Coins that cost more to produce than their actual value;
• End of the year use-it-or-lose-it spending sprees by binge buying bureaucrats; and
• Surplus and unneeded storage space.

By increasing our debt and your taxes without addressing these inefficiencies, Democrats are perpetuating and subsidizing government excesses at the expense of hardworking Americans now and into the future.

That is why I am giving my September 2021 Squeal Award to Congressional Democrats for their reckless tax and spending spree.

It is also why I am introducing the Prime CUTS (Cancel Unnecessary Transactions and Spending) Act that would save billions of dollars for taxpayers by putting Washington waste on the chopping block.
