As it turns out, John Kerry, the “Climate Czar,” is full of hot air… 325 metric tons of it!

It was just three months ago when John Kerry, President Biden’s self-appointed “climate czar,” said: “C02 is pollution. Ten million people a year die from this pollution. […] If you ever want a definition of insanity it’s some of the behavior that the world is falling into at this point in not responding to this crisis.”

Well… by Mr. Kerry’s own definition, he must either be insane, or just full of a whole lot of hot air…

As it turns out, it’s the latter. 325 metric tons of hot air, to be exact!

That’s because, while the self-proclaimed environmentalist has been preaching all about carbon emissions and climate change to anyone who’ll listen, he and his family have been traveling around the world on a private jet and pumping literally hundreds of tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

In fact, according to new reports, since President Biden was sworn in, Kerry’s private Gulfstream GIV-SP has made four dozen trips and emitted 325 metric tons of CO2.

I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised by the latest report, though. After all, this isn’t the first time Mr. Kerry’s blatant hypocrisy took flight in the headlines. Infamously in 2019, on his way to accept a *climate leadership* award, Mr. Kerry got caught flying on his private jet to claim it! And just last year, he jetted off to yet another climate meeting overseas using—you guessed it—fossil-fueled transportation, all on the taxpayers’ dime. And that’s just a couple of the flights on Mr. Kerry’s long list of carbon emitting travel!

While Iowans are paying an arm and a leg at the pump just to get to work, run their businesses, and to make a living, coastal elitist Washington politicians like John Kerry—the ones who are trying to shut down American energy and who are driving prices even higher—are living a life of luxury with their carbon emitting, multi-million dollar private jets.

Folks, I don’t think “Climate Czar” is quite the right title for jet-setting, two-faced Mr. Kerry... How about this one instead: “Washington’s Face of Hypocrisy!”

That’s why I’m awarding this month’s Squeal Award to Mr. Kerry, for being so full of hot air!

While Mr. Kerry and the Biden administration continue to drive fuel costs up with their radical, green agenda and heavy-handed energy regulations, I’m pushing a bill to give taxpayers a clear view of their hypocrisy.

I’ve introduced the Executive Branch Emissions Transparency Act, to require the executive branch to track and publicly release the amount of carbon emissions associated with all of their fossil-fuel powered travel, including Mr. Kerry’s. It’s just plane-old commonsense!
