Breaking ground on the Arkansas Valley Conduit in 2023.
What’s happening: For over a decade, I’ve worked to secure investments and pass legislation to ensure the federal government keeps its promise and finishes the Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC). This vital project will provide safe, clean water to nearly 40 communities and 50,000 Coloradans along the Arkansas River.
Great news: We welcomed $250 million from the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) to expedite the completion of the AVC. This incredible investment will be critical to completing this project for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across Southeast Colorado.
What’s next: We’re closer than ever to getting this project across the finish line and I’m grateful for BOR’s support to ensure the AVC has the funding it deserves. I will continue fighting alongside Coloradans to get this done.

What happened: This week, we celebrated nearly $112 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation for 11 infrastructure projects across Colorado. These projects include efforts to improve the safety and capacity of Colorado roadways and expand our state’s electric vehicle charging capacity.
What I believe: Through investments like these, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act continue to support Colorado as we work to meet our state’s changing needs and strengthen local economies. View the full list of awarded projects here.

What’s happening: From fighting for a fair economy, to safely harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence, to Wicked, there is a lot on our minds as U.S. Senators. This week, I sat down with New Jersey Senator Cory Booker to discuss all of those topics and more. Watch our full conversation here.
