Coloradans: Sign Up For My Town Halls

What I believe: The best part of my job is speaking with Coloradans about issues that matter to them. As we work together to push back against the Trump Administration’s short-sighted efforts, these conversations are more important than ever.

What’s happening: Next week, I will be hosting three in-person town halls across our state, including in:

  • Greeley on Tuesday, March 18th at 5:30 PM;
  • Golden with Representative Brittany Pettersen on Wednesday, March 19th at 6:00 PM; and
  • Colorado Springs on Thursday, March 20th at 5:30 PM

How to sign up: You must register on my website here to attend any of these three events. On the day before the event, you will receive a confirmation email with the event location and entry details. If you can’t join us in person, the town halls will be livestreamed on my Facebook page here

2. Supporting Colorado’s Federal Workers

What I believe: From park rangers to medical researchers, Colorado’s federal workers are dedicated public servants who have devoted their careers to powering our economy, protecting our communities, and managing our public lands. The Trump Administration’s decision to terminate thousands of workers across our state is downright dangerous.

This week:
I hosted a webinar for Colorado federal workers alongside Senator Hickenlooper and a panel of experts. We addressed some of the concerns of our state’s current, terminated, and recently separated federal employees and connected them with important resources. In case you missed it, you can watch the full webinar here.

What’s next:
I am committed to using every tool at my disposal to protect Colorado’s federal workforce. You can find more resources for federal civil service members on my website here.

3. Helping Colorado Caregivers Make Ends Meet

What’s happening:
Family caregivers play a critical role in the lives of their loved ones, often at a significant financial cost to themselves. They have to balance jobs and family responsibilities, and still make ends meet at the end of the month. Congress should make things a little easier for them.

This week: Alongside my Senate colleagues, I reintroduced the Credit for Caring Act. Our bipartisan bill will help ease the financial burden that many caregivers face in Colorado and across the country. I'll keep working across the aisle to get this done.

4. IN THE NEWS THIS WEEK

  • I sat down with 9 News’ Kyle Clark to discuss everything from advocating for the federal workforce to supporting Ukraine’s fight for democracy. Watch our full conversation here
  • It was great to meet with a group of Colorado pediatricians this week to discuss protecting Medicaid for the millions of Coloradoans who rely on it. I will continue to do everything I can to defend this vital program.
  • I spoke on the Senate floor in support of Ukraine as it continues its brave fight against Putin’s unprovoked aggression. For the sake of the Ukrainian people and democracy everywhere, we must not pressure Ukraine to silence their guns unless Russia commits to do the same.
