Guess what my high is this week? I was able to hike up Angels Landing. Being back in Utah, being out in the great outdoors, and being at Zion is just a great high. The views were breathtaking, and it made the week feel extra special. Hope you all have a good week.

Senators Curtis, Hickenlooper (D-CO), Sheehy (R-MT), and Padilla (D-CA) highlighted growing support for the Fix Our Forests Act. The bipartisan legislation, introduced earlier this year, combats catastrophic wildfires, restores forest ecosystems, and streamlines federal forest management to be more efficient and responsive. Governors, state and local officials, community leaders, and industry stakeholders across the country are voicing their strong support for this important effort. You can read “what they are saying” in the full press release here.

After more than a year of trying to resolve a delayed tax refund—through phone calls, online inquiries, and in-person visits, a Utah constituent turned to Senator Curtis’s office for help. With the support of our casework team, the issue was resolved and the refund was finally deposited. With their permission, we’re sharing their story to show how our office can help cut through red tape and deliver long-overdue answers.

If you can't get an answer from a federal agency in a timely fashion, or if you feel you have been treated unfairly, our office may be able to help resolve a problem or get you the information you need. While we cannot guarantee you a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and timely response to your problem.

I am excited to announce that the keynote speaker for our 4th Annual Conservative Climate Summit on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the University of Utah will be U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright.

Secretary Wright is a self-described “energy nerd turned entrepreneur” who has spent his career working across oil and gas, nuclear, solar, and geothermal. His lifelong passion has been making energy more affordable, reliable, and secure, while bringing its benefits to communities across the globe. Now, as America’s 17th Secretary of Energy, he is leading the effort to unleash American energy dominance and accelerate the next wave of innovation.

We still have a few free tickets available at curtis.senate.gov/ccsummit, but they are going quickly. If you have not reserved your spot yet, I encourage you to do so soon.
