RIDE FOR FALLEN SERVICE HEROES

SATURDAY, JULY 8

I am honored to invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Ride for Fallen Service Heroes on July 8, an annual motorcycle ride that honors the families of Fallen Service Members.   I will be honored to serve as the Guest Road Captain, and hope you can participate, too.

Our great state has mined the coal that forged the steel that built the great tanks and ships that have made our country the strongest in the world. West Virginians have answered the call to service more than nearly any other state in the nation.  I am honored to participate in this ride to memorialize those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and pay special tribute to their families. Freedom is not free, and for that reason, Americans all across this great land pledge their allegiance to the Stars and Stripes. I am excited to once again honor our nation’s heroes with this special ride across the rolling hills of West Virginia.

The round-trip motorcycle ride will travel from South Charleston to Millwood, and concludes with a free community picnic at the National Guard Headquarters at Coonskin in Charleston. A complete schedule is below:

Registration at the Harley-Davidson of WV Pavilion       8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Group Ride to Millwood Armory                                        10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Officers from the Huntington Police Department Traffic Unit and the Charleston Police Department will participate and provide ride security.
