On
the
Road
N3
Career
Fair
Last
Wednesday,
my
office
hosted
a
career
fair
with
N3
one
of
the
newest
companies
to
invest
in
the
Mountain
State.
This
global
marketing
and
consulting
firm,
which
works
with
tech
companies
like
Microsoft
and
IBM,
is
opening
offices
at
the
West
Virginia
Regional
Technology
Park
in
South
Charleston
and
plans
to
hire
approximately
300
people.
A
special
thank
you
to
N3
and
all
the
partners
including
Workforce
West
Virginia,
the
West
Virginia
Department
of
Commerce,
and
colleges
and
universities
who
made
this
career
fair
possible. Around
300
people
attended
the
fair,
and
N3
did
approximately
200
individual
interviews
that
evening.
We
wish
the
best
of
luck
to
all
the
applicants
who
came
out
with
their
resumes
in
hand.
Skype
at
Independence
High
School
I
met
with
Independence
High
School
students
last
week
and
answered
some
great
questions
from
some
bright
young
West
Virginians.
Frances
Ford's
100th
Birthday
One
of
my
regional
coordinators,
Peggy
Hawse,
visited
Francis
Ford,
Elkins
native and
original
Rosie
the
Riveter,
to
celebrate
her
100th
Birthday
and
present
her
with
a
greeting
I
wrote
for
her.
The
work
the
Rosies
accomplished
when
our
nation
needed
them
most
has
made
a
significant
impact
on
women’s
rights
and
where
we
are
today
as
a
society. This
noble
mission
continues
as
we
honor
and
learn
from
these
courageous
women
as
they
continue
to
create
a
positive
model
for
the
rest
of
America.
It
is
my
great
pleasure
to
wish
Francis
a
very
Happy
100th
Birthday.
On
Monday,
I
hosted my
very
first
town
hall
via
Facebook
Live.
I
answered questions
from
West
Virginians
about
what’s
going
in
the
Senate
and
issues
impacting
our
home
state.
You
can

more
by

and
I
hope
you
can
join
me
for
the
next
one.
