University of Charleston Commencement

Last week, I was honored to speak at the winter commencement ceremony for the University of Charleston. Thank you to President Roth and congratulations once again to our graduates.

Skype with Wayne High School

I recently had the privilege of speaking with some of Wayne High School's best and brightest about the issues that matter to them.  Thank you again for your excellent questions!

How May We Help You?

I truly appreciate the opportunity to hear from my fellow West Virginians. As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to be your voice with government agencies during your time of need. My goal is to provide top-notch customer service for every West Virginian who contacts me, or who may need help.  I have a team of caseworkers in each of my four offices to help you with matters of concern. While I have no direct jurisdiction in the administrative matters of any federal, state, or local agency, I welcome the opportunity to assist you with whatever problem you may be experiencing and ask that full consideration be given to your case.

Recently, Kim Berry, a caseworker in my Fairmont office was able to assist Mr. Lawrence Childers, Navy Veteran, with assistance in getting a much-needed heart transplant evaluation.  The Senator’s Office worked with Mr. Childers’ medical team at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to share medical information with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.  After reviewing the information, the VA approved for Mr. Childers’s to proceed with the evaluation process for him to obtain the transplant.
