Roundtable Discussions for All Affected by the Government Shutdown
I remain committed to finding a solution that reopens the federal government and funds our border security to keep Americans safe. I believe that federal workers should not pay the price for Congressional inaction, which is why I worked with my colleagues to introduce legislation which was signed by the President and passed into law on January 16th that guarantees back pay as soon as possible for federal workers who are furloughed or working without pay during the shutdown. I know that does not help in the moment, though, so please click here for some resources available to you during this difficult time. We will continue to update this list as we hear from other organizations.
Additionally, I have hosted three roundtable discussions (Fairmont, Martinsburg, and Parkersburg) so far for federal workers and all who have been affected by the shutdown. Stay up-to-date for future roundtables and town halls by checking my website and social media.

West Virginia AFL-CIO Legislative Conference
I had the privilege of speaking to our union members at the WV AFL-CIO Conference. It is no secret that our home state consists of the hardest working, most dedicated people in the country and it is vital that we continue the great progress we have made as a statewide community and invest in our working families.
