MANCHIN URGES WEST VIRGINIANS TO SEND QUESTIONS ON IMPEACHMENT PROCESS

As he listens intently to the House Managers and President Trump’s legal team, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) asks West Virginians to send him their questions about the impeachment trial by emailing

impeachment@manchin.senate.gov or calling 202-224-3954.

“I have said from the beginning of this process that President Trump deserves a fair trial. This is a complicated and lengthy process. I am sure many West Virginians have questions, which is why I am asking them to contact my office with their questions. Throughout this process I will continue my Constitutional duty as an impartial juror and will do my best to keep West Virginians updated on the daily proceedings,” said Senator Manchin.

MANCHIN RECEIVES LETTER FROM SIR RICHARD BRANSON ON VIRGIN HYPERLOOP IN WEST VIRGINIA

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today received a response to the letter he sent to Sir Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Group, the parent organization of Virgin Hyperloop One. Manchin has been advocating for West Virginia as a potential site for the company’s certification and test center and wrote to Branson after meeting with representatives from the company in Fall 2019.

“I am glad to hear from Sir Richard Branson on my letter urging Virgin Hyperloop One to consider West Virginia for their new certification and test center. I am glad he agrees that West Virginia has so much to offer and I hope that as our discussions continue we will have the opportunity to showcase more of our great state. I believe that the relationship between West Virginia and Virgin Hyperloop One could be incredibly strong and I look forward to working with WVU, Sir Richard Branson, and Virgin Hyperloop One to advocate for this partnership and will do whatever I can to make this a reality for West Virginia,” said Senator Manchin.

ON THE ROAD

Regional Coordinator Ali Mitchell, presented Milton Renick of VFW Post 6737 US flags to be flown in cemeteries local to Greenbrier County and also to seniors and staff of the Greenbrier Committee on Aging in Fairlea.

Last week's groundbreaking for Herbert Hoover High School in Elkview was a welcomed celebration and a testament to the resilient spirit of the Herbert Hoover community.

Members of my staff attended the kickoff celebration for the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment which guarantees and protects women's constitutional right to vote.

Mr. Manuel Natividad of Oak Hill was having issues obtaining his VA travel pay, which led to him contacting Senator Manchin for assistance. As a result of caseworker Sylvia Asbury's inquiry, Mr. Natividad has been notified that he will receive his travel pay and he was also able to file an appeal for his benefits through the VA.
