ON THE ROAD

We truly have much to celebrate in the Mountain State, but this weekend we wished a Happy Birthday to two outstanding institutions that have a profound impact on our state.

Happy 110th birthday to the Boy Scouts! Being a Scout taught me so much that I continue to live by to this day. I'm thankful that so many Scouts from around the country and the world have the opportunity to learn these life lessons at Bechtel Summit right here in West Virginia.

Happy 153rd Birthday, West Virginia University! I’m a proud Mountaineer, and it is a joy to celebrate our state’s largest institution and its many academic, athletic, and research achievements.

In celebration of National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, members of my staff are once again visiting each of the VA Medical Centers to express our gratitude to our nation's heroes.

Representative JoBeth Delawder attended the American Legion Department of West Virginia's 39th Annual Mid-Winter Conference at Oglebay on my behalf.

HOW MAY WE HELP YOU?

To request assistance from my case team, click here.

As your U.S. Senator, I am proud to be your voice with government agencies during your time of need. My goal is for me and my staff to provide the best possible customer service for every West Virginian who contacts me needing assistance. While I have no direct jurisdiction in legal or administrative matters of any federal, state, or local agency, I welcome the opportunity to assist you in any way possible and to assure that full consideration is given to your case. See one of our recent success stories below:

Mr. Roger Reed of Martinsburg is a service-connected Veteran. He contacted the Senator regarding his prescription copayments balance with the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. As a result of Caseworker Amber McCartney's inquiry, the VAMC was able to refer the majority of the balance to the Treasury Cross Servicing Program, leaving Mr. Reed with a smaller balance as well as an application for waiver of debt.
