Senator Manchin said in part, “So many people have given up on the Senate. They have given up on Congress. They have given up on our ability to be able to do the big things. This is big. This is a big deal. I don't care who is looking at it any way they can. It's been said that nothing like this has been done in 30 years. It hasn't…The American people are speaking loudly and clear. The polls are overwhelming. Whether it's Democrat, Republican, Independent, they could care less. They want their infrastructure repaired…They want to be able to communicate and compete for the jobs in the 21st Century.”

MANCHIN ANNOUNCES $3.2 MILLION FROM AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN TO SUPPORT WEST VIRGINIA AIRPORTS
Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $3,259,485 from the American Rescue Plan for 10 West Virginia airports. This funding is distributed through the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide economic relief and increase safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“The American Rescue Plan continues to provide critical relief to the Mountain State. This American Rescue Plan funding will help West Virginia’s regional airports keep passengers and staff safe as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Senator Manchin. “Our regional airports are vital to West Virginia’s economy and serve as a gateway while also supporting the manufacturing industry in the Mountain State. As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, I will continue to fight for funding that supports our regional airports while supporting economic development across the state.”

• $22,000 – Appalachian Regional Airport

Ghada of Charleston contacted Senator Manchin's office for help renewing her green card while she was overseas. Once it was renewed she was able to return to the United States to be with her family.
