MANCHIN, CAPITO, MCKINLEY, JUSTICE ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OFWEST VIRGINIA HYDROGEN HUB WORKING GROUP
I’m proud to announce the launch of the West Virginia Hydrogen Hub Working Group to collaborate and support a strong candidate to be chosen to develop a hydrogen hub.
The recently passed bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act included $8 billion for Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs that will create jobs to expand use of clean hydrogen in the industrial sector and beyond. The legislation also requires one hub be located in Appalachia.
I am proud to be working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and across the state to collaborate on this incredible opportunity to showcase how West Virginia can continue to lead the country – and the world – in advancing energy technologies and bring good-paying jobs to the state.

I am truly humbled to receive the George Marshall Award from Hershel “Woody” Williams. The real heroes are the men and women like Woody Williams who put their lives on the line in defense of our nation. I know I speak for everyone when I thank Woody. Our nation is better, safer and more inspired because of Woody and the men and women he served with.

Last week I had the opportunity to speak with members of WV’s Civil Air Patrol in Washington, D.C. Our Civil Air Patrol cadets selflessly devote their time, energy, and expertise toward serving our state and our country, and I thank them for their service.

With the help of my staff, I was honored to lend my voice of support for several events in the region: New Marshall University President Brad Smith's welcome reception; Marshall University’s Bill Noe Flight School at Yeager Airport to welcome its first of several planned multi-engine aircraft; Pier at 6th and Adams ribbon cutting ceremony in Montgomery; and Beckley Self Service Laundry ribbon cutting. |

Carol contacted my office for assistance with obtaining her late husband’s Army retirement benefits. She was denied due to an administrative error associated with her husband’s military service record. After my staff's inquiry, her husband’s service record was corrected. These benefits will insure financial stability for her family.
If you or someone you know is in need of assistance with a state or federal agency, please contact my office at 304-342-5855.
