Erin of Ohio County contacted my office requesting assistance with obtaining her daughter's passport so their family could travel out of the country. My staff was able to assist Erin and her family by contacting the National Passport Center and expediting the processing of her daughter's passport application. As a result, Erin and her family were able to make the trip, where they celebrated her parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary!

FREE BLACK LUNG SCREENINGS
Throughout the month of August, NIOSH is conducting black lung screenings in several areas of southern West Virginia and Virginia. All coal miners are encouraged to participate. The free screening takes about 15 minutes and includes a short questionnaire and a chest radiograph. Blood pressure screening will also be completed. Participation is free and easy — results are confidential.

SENATE YOUTH PROGRAM
The United States Senate Youth Program annually brings the highest-level officials from each branch of government to meet two high school juniors or seniors from each of the fifty states, the District of Columbia and the Department of Defense Education Activity for an intensive week-long education and leadership program. USSYP Washington Week is March 4-11, 2023.
