Historic investments in West Virginia broadband announced recently were the result of years of our sustained efforts. Through federal legislation, I ensured rural states like West Virginia got their fair share of federal funds. There is nothing we can’t accomplish when we all work together.

Because of these efforts, $1.2 billion in federal funding will be put toward 86,000 new unserved locations in West Virginia.

Mr. Backus of Beckley contacted my office for assistance with his efforts to obtain dental care through the Beckley VA Medical Center. As a result of an inquiry from my office, a referral was promptly made for Mr. Backus to see a dentist.
