$2.7 MILLION FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND PROJECTS IN WEST VIRGINIA
Historic Amount Of Funding Will Help Protect And Preserve West Virginia’s Iconic Public Lands And Waters This funding was made available through Chairman Manchin’s historic Great American Outdoors Act, which was enacted in 2020 and made the full $900 million in annual Land and Water Conservation Fund funding permanent and mandatory.

U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree - Monongahela National Forest will provide this year's Christmas Tree for the U.S. Capitol lawn. West Virginia residents are encouraged to decorate it with handmade ornaments showing the rest of the country what makes our state so special. Ornaments can be mailed to U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241 or dropped off at any Monongahela National Forest office. Must be received by Sept. 1st. |
