Mr. Villers of Proctor contacted my office for assistance obtaining the National Defense Medal. He served in the Army and Navy Reserves during wartime which made him eligible for the award. As a result of an inquiry from my office to the National Personnel Records Center, Mr. Villers received National Defense Medal.

HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT - Health Insurance Marketplace open enrollment for the 2024 calendar year begins November 1st. Enroll by December 15th for coverage that starts on January 1st. Visit Healthcare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 for more information. Those who no longer qualify for Medicaid and CHIP can turn to the Marketplace for insurance coverage.

The open enrollment period for Medicare is now through December 7th. Find information and compare plans at Medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE. 

WV SHIP provides reliable and up-to-date information about Medicare to individuals and families who are seeking answers. A fact sheet outlining the basics of 2023 Medicare is available on the website. Call (304) 558-3317 for more information.
