HEALTHCARE MARKETPLACE OPEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINE

Health Insurance Marketplace open enrollment for 2024 ends December 15th for coverage that starts on January 1st. Visit Healthcare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 for more information. Those who no longer qualify for Medicaid and CHIP can turn to the Marketplace for insurance coverage. Many residents qualify for the "premium tax credit" that lowers the amount you pay each month for your insurance plan.

On December 5th, Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Joe Manchin took to the Senate floor to criticize Treasury’s proposed Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) rules.

"It's not for securing basically this manufacturing back to America quicker. It's not to get off the reliance of unreliable foreign supply chains. It's basically to meet a political agenda."

 The rules make it easier for FEOC to take advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act’s 30D Clean Vehicle Tax Credit while hurting American taxpayers and increasing our reliance on foreign adversaries.
