On both sides. It is a time to focus on what we are for, not who we are against. It is a time to recognize how close we are to tearing this country apart and to acknowledge how much worse that will be for all Americans."

As a former Scout myself, I was proud to speak at the Congressional Scouting Caucus event and meet so many generations of Scouts! The heart of being a Scout is a commitment to making our nation a better place to work, live and raise a family. I'm forever grateful to this organization. 

With the help of my staff, I’m honored to have lent my support for several events in the state: WVU Gold and Blue event at Oglebay in Wheeling; Job Corps Workforce Industry Council (WIC) and Community Relations Council (CRC) meeting in Charleston. 

A constituent of Falling Waters contacted my office for assistance with their retirement benefits. After being informed that they were overpaid, the constituent submitted a deposit to purchase the uncredited time. However, they never received confirmation that the deposit was received, nor had the constituent’s benefits changed. As a result of an inquiry from my office to the Office of Personnel Management, the constituent’s total creditable time and annuity were adjusted.

FLOOD RESOURCES - West Virginia is one of the most flood susceptible states in the nation. The risks are projected to increase in the coming years. Provided by both federal and state resources, the WV Flood Tool is an interactive map with a range of information, including flood hazard zones and detailed topographical information, for the entire state of West Virginia. 

The West Virginia Flood Resiliency Public Survey is being conducted by a team of researchers, state agencies and community organizations to understand the experiences of West Virginians affected by floods in their communities.

UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED INDIVIDUALS - Many clinics throughout the state offer free or low-cost health care options for West Virginians.

All Congressional Representatives are authorized by law to nominate a limited number of candidates per year for appointment to U.S. Service Academies.

To qualify for a nomination from Senator Manchin, all required information must be submitted by October 1st, 2024.
