MANCHIN SPEAKS AT GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR NEW SHAWNEE SPORTS COMPLEX WELCOME CENTER

With the help of my staff, I was honored to lend my support for several events in the state: honorary street naming celebration for Catherine Dooley Taylor in Fairmont, 30 year anniversary celebration of the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Tucker County. 

A constituent from Cabell County contacted my office asking for assistance after his children had been mistakenly removed as his dependents with the Veterans' Administration. As a result of an inquiry from my office, the claim was processed to completion and Scott's children were re-added as dependents.

STUDENT LOANS -  Many individuals with jobs in health, teaching and public service professions as well as military service members may be eligible to participate in student loan forgiveness and repayment programs. These Congressionally authorized programs aim to attract borrowers to public service and highly needed professions. A list of programs is available here.

UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED INDIVIDUALS - Many clinics throughout the state offer free or low-cost health care options for West Virginians.

All Congressional Representatives are authorized by law to nominate a limited number of candidates per year for appointment to U.S. Service Academies.
