Our land is managed best when it is managed by the communities and people closest to it—not by federal bureaucrats. Senator Romney joined Interior Secretary Bernhardt, Governor Herbert, and fellow members of the Utah Congressional Delegation at the Utah State Capitol for a ceremony to sign an agreement officially transferring the titles of the Uintah Basin Replacement Project and the Emery County Project from federal to local ownership. With these transfers, the Emery Water Conservancy District and the Moon Lake Water Users Association will now be able to better manage their resources in order to meet the needs of their communities.

Following the signing of the historic peace agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, Senator Romney released this statement:
"Forging new partnerships between our friends in the Middle East is critical to countering the region’s malign actors such as Iran and is in the best interest of U.S. national security. The normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel will advance commerce, encourage travel between the two countries, and establish diplomatic ties—and help encourage mutual economic, diplomatic, and security goals. I applaud the President and the administration’s hard-won efforts in facilitating these historic peace agreements with both the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain which advance the cause of peace and prosperity in the region.” |
