Earlier this week, Senator Romney and a bipartisan, bicameral group announced details of a compromise emergency COVID-19 relief package that would provide as much as $908 billion in relief to American students, families, businesses, workers, and health care providers. The bipartisan, bicameral group working on a emergency COVID-19 relief package unveiled two bills that would provide much-needed relief to Americans. “We have people hurting right now and our country is facing a crisis, and during a crisis it is essential that we come together to do what is necessary. That’s what this legislation does," said Senator Romney.

The attending physician’s office has informed all senators that for continuity of government purposes, senators are to receive vaccination, and that there is no reason to delay. In accordance with this directive, Senator Romney received the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday, saying: “Grateful for the months of hard work from the medical community, government partners, and others who are working around the clock to deliver a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine to the American people. I will also continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing and avoid large gatherings in line with public health guidance. The most urgent task is for Congress to finish what our bipartisan group started by passing emergency COVID relief."
