While Washington Democrats frantically negotiated their unpopular social spending bill, Senator Romney continued to meet with Utahns to discuss how the bipartisan infrastructure bill, currently being held hostage in House, would benefit our state. Senator Romney also took a few moments around Halloween to share in some bipartisan fun with his colleagues—a much-needed moment of levity around the Senate.

After many years of actor Jason Sudeikis playing Senator Romney on Saturday Night Live, the Senator decided it was finally time to return the favor. He dressed up as Ted Lasso, who is played by Sudeikis in the popular sitcom on Apple TV+, for Halloween to provide a moment of levity for his colleagues and staff.

By sharing her personal story of abuse in a treatment facility as a child, Paris Hilton has made substantial efforts on reforming Utah’s residential treatment centers for troubled teens. Senator Romney met with Hilton during her recent visit to Capitol Hill.

Senator Romney was joined by his friend, Senator Tester (D-MT), in talking to several rural chambers of commerce from Utah about the benefits of the bipartisan infrastructure bill—namely the funding of programs that would help our state mitigate the burdens caused by the drought and shore up Utah's water resilience.

Senator Romney met with South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey to discuss how the bipartisan infrastructure bill would provide needed funding to help mitigate some of the transportation and development challenges caused by our state's rapid growth.
