Senator Romney shared a statement marking the one-month anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine:
“It’s been one month since Russia began its unprovoked and unjustified attack on the Ukrainian people.
"Since then, people around the world have rallied behind the courage and resolve of President Zelenskyy, who’s made his place in history as a monumental leader and defender of freedom. In stark contrast, we have also witnessed the twisted and tyrannical ambitions of Vladimir Putin, a feral-eyed man who’s made himself and his country a pariah.
"It’s incumbent upon those who stand on the side of freedom—including the United States and our NATO allies—to step up and support the people of Ukraine, who still remain without suitable air defense. It’s well past time to provide them the advanced weaponry, including anti-air missiles and MiGs, that they have requested.”
American workers are suffering the economic impacts of the highest rates of inflation in decades, and Democrats have responded with a proposal which would force more workers into unions that are more concerned with their own survival than protecting their workers.
Senator Romney joined his Republican colleagues, led by Senator Scott (R-SC) in introducing the Employee Rights Act of 2022, a better solution that will protect workers, support small businesses, and encourage innovation—equipping us to compete and succeed in the 21st century global economy.
The Biden Administration needs to give Congress a full accounting of existing federal coronavirus relief money before requests for additional funding are even considered.
With reports revealing that projects completely unrelated to combatting the pandemic were funded by federal coronavirus relief dollars, Senator Romney continued leading an effort to require the Administration to provide a detailed accounting of how the relief money provided by Congress has been spent.
