Dear Fellow Vermonter,
I am thrilled to announce that my office will once again be holding a youth choral concert and town meeting on the arts. We started hosting this annual event in 2013 and, year after year, it has always been such a joy to hear beautiful choral music from talented Vermont students. The concert will take place at 6:00 P.M. THIS SATURDAY, March 9 at the Dibden Center for the Arts on Vermont State University’s Johnson campus and will feature performances from 10 Vermont elementary, middle, high school, and college choirs.
This will mark the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that Vermont students will come together to participate in this once-annual event. I hope you will join us!

We all know that the arts play an important role in our communities, our schools, and our everyday lives. This concert serves as a great reminder of that and gives young Vermonters an opportunity to make music, perform, and learn from other singers from across the state. The following Vermont schools are performing in the concert:
- Bellows Free Academy-Fairfax High School
- Lamoille Union High School
- Lyndon Institute
- Main Street Middle School
- Montpelier High School
- Shelburne Community School
- Vermont State University-Castleton
- Spaulding High School
- Winooski Middle/High School
These young Vermonters have put in a tremendous amount of work learning to not only sing as individuals, but also, how to work together as a chorus. I have no doubt that we’ll hear some wonderful music from these choirs.
Let’s come together, enjoy some great music, and support young Vermont artists. I am looking forward to it and hope to see you there.
