Dear Fellow Vermonter,
With winter around the corner, I know many Vermonters are worried about keeping their families, and themselves, safe and warm through the season. The good news is that assistance is available to help eligible Vermonters afford their heating bills, their electric bills, and to weatherize their homes. There is also assistance available to repair and replace furnaces and fuel tanks.
There is also a special fund for Vermonters whose homes, appliances, and heating and water systems were damaged during the summer floods.
My office has put together some information about available programs and services. I hope you will read on below to learn more and help spread the word in your communities.
If you need help navigating fuel assistance programs, please reach out to your local Community Action Agency. You can find one that serves your area at https://dcf.vermont.gov/contacts/partners/caps or by calling 2-1-1. And as always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office if you have questions or need assistance. You can reach us HERE or by calling 802-862-0697 or our toll-free number 1-800-339-9834.
And remember, don’t wait to apply! Get this process started today to get the assistance you need.
Sincerely,
