A Great July 4th

Dear Fellow Vermonter,

Vermonters love July 4th events. So do I.

On July 3rd I joined the annual Montpelier celebration: food, music, a one mile run and a parade. Despite the heat, thousands turned out for a great time — including Senator Peter Welch and Congresswoman Becca Balint.

On July 4th I was in Warren (with a large crowd despite heavy rain); Rochester for the annual picnic; and Bristol for food and music. In the evening I joined the Vermont Symphony Orchestra for a concert in Shelburne.

It takes a lot of work to organize July 4th celebrations. Thanks to Vermonters all over the state who worked hard to make these great community events possible.
