Big Days Ahead in The Region

Last week, I spoke at the “Ignite the Region” luncheon hosted by the Northwest Indiana Forum. I am energized by the incredible optimism and sense of collaboration in The Region.

From helping establish Indiana Dunes National Park to securing funding for the South Shore and West Lake rail projects, I’ve always enjoyed partnering with leaders in Northwest Indiana. I’m glad to see local governments, the business community, higher ed, and community leaders continue to work together to move Northwest Indiana forward. Read more here


CHIPS and Science Act Implementation Update

I spoke with Oren Cass of American Compass about the two-year anniversary of the CHIPS and Science Act and how implementation is going. More than $450 billion in private investment has been announced, helping the United States to win the 21st century.

Learning More About Our Electric Grid

Recently, I toured MISO Central in Hamilton County to learn more about its operations.

MISO is a not-for-profit that operates the electric grid for much of the Midwest, including Indiana. As demand for power increases and our country transitions to less reliable forms of energy, we need to secure the grid so that our electricity access is not subject to interruptions.

Thanks to the Indiana State Fair team and volunteers for another great year. The Fair is one of our state’s best traditions.

It was the year of the pickle, and yes, I did try the Dill Pickle Lemon Shake-up.

I recently had the chance to speak with community and business leaders in Hendricks County. As one of Indiana’s fastest-growing counties, Hendricks County faces several unique challenges and opportunities.
