Last week, I joined hundreds of entrepreneurs and civic and business leaders from across the country who came to Indianapolis for the second Rally Innovation Conference. I spoke at several sessions about my legislative efforts to spark innovation and the key role Indiana is playing in creating the jobs of tomorrow.

August 26 marked the third anniversary of the bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan that killed 13 American service members, including Hoosier Corporal Humberto "Bert" Sanchez.

We continue to remember and honor these heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Last week, our team hosted an Academy Day for high school students interested in learning more about America’s service academies. Thanks to all who came out and participated.

I want to thank Hoosier students who participated in summer internships in my Indianapolis and New Albany offices. They assisted with daily activities and special projects related to legislation, communications, and constituent services.
