This spring, Senator Fetterman met with DOT Secretary Duffy to fight for Pennsylvania’s infrastructure projects that were at risk of being cancelled. After months of pressure from Senator Fetterman, the White House announced that the money is officially being released.

“I came in good faith to work across the aisle and fight for these endangered infrastructure projects. More than $1 billion in funding that was at risk is now back on track,” said Senator Fetterman.

ImageFetterman Demands Answers for Victims of Sunoco Pipeline Leak in Bucks County

At a Senate Commerce Committee hearing for PHMSA nominee Paul Roberti, Senator Fetterman  raised concerns about a Sunoco pipeline leak in Bucks County. Fetterman was joined at the hearing by an Upper Makefield Township resident whose water has been contaminated with jet fuel
PHMSA is responsible for enforcing pipeline safety regulations at the Twin Oaks Pipeline, a 105-mile jet fuel line running through parts of southeastern Pennsylvania. Senator Fetterman is committed to ensuring that PHMSA performs its oversight and enforcement responsibilities and holds Sunoco accountable.

In February, Senator Fetterman and Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01) sent a letter to PHMSA urging Acting Administrator Ben Kochman to shut down the pipeline while the agency investigated the leak. To date, PHMSA has refused to do so, instead requiring Sunoco to reduce pipeline operations by 20 percent.

The Senator highlighted the severity of the situation and secured Roberti’s commitment to visit the site and hold Sunoco accountable if confirmed.

  • Invest in workforce development
John has championed this bill from day one because it’s a proven solution to the housing crisis — and now it’s closer than ever to becoming law.

U.S. Senators John Fetterman (D-PA) and Katie Britt (R-AL) reintroduced the bipartisan Stop the Scroll Act,Image legislation that would require social media platforms to display clear mental health warning labels to users. The bill would require social media platforms to show clear mental health warnings to users, helping people—especially kids and teens—understand the potential risks of using social media and find resources to find the help they need.
At Semafor’s Solving the Youth Well-being Challenge event, Senators Fetterman and Britt urged congress to pass legislation preventing children under 13 from using social media, and highlighted its harmful effects on teenagers.

The bill has already cleared the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and there is hope it can be pushed through before the end of the year.

U.S. Senators John Fetterman (D-PA) and Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) joined 21 of their Senate Democratic colleagues in urging Defense Secretary Hegseth to reverse course and not implement the Trump Administration's un-American transgender military service ban.

This policy would unfairly attack honorable service members for who they are, compromise good order and discipline, and jeopardize our national security.
