Greenville,
SC
– U.S.
Senator
Tim
Scott
(R-SC)
completed
a
46-county
tour
of
South
Carolina
this
week,
visiting
every
county
in
the
state
since
he
joined
the
Senate
earlier
this
year.
Senator
Scott
has
hosted
and
participated
in
a
variety
of
events
in
each
county,
including
town
hall
meetings,
employer
site
visits,
meetings
with
civic
and
church
organizations,
school
visits,
and
even
sporting
events.
He
wrapped
up
the
tour
yesterday
by
speaking
to
the
Greenwood
Chamber
of
Commerce
and
hosting
meet-and-greets
in
Abbeville
and
McCormick.
“The
most
important
part
of
my
job
as
a
senator
is
meeting
people
across
South
Carolina
and
hearing
their
concerns
about
what
is
going
on
in
Washington.
South
Carolinians
are
hard-working,
optimistic
people
who
are
concerned
about
the
overreach
of
the
federal
government,”
Scott
said.
“I’ve
been
inspired
by
my
visits
to
schools
throughout
the
state.
Our
kids
deserve
every
opportunity
to
succeed
in
a
system
that
suits
the
unique
needs
of
our
state
and
local
communities.
I’m
looking
forward
to
continuing
these
conversations
as
we
work
to
create
a
better
and
brighter
future
for
our
country
with
greater
economic
opportunity
and
less
government
interference.”
