Obamacare
–
the
Wrong
Direction
for
Our
Country
As
Congress
continues
to
debate
Obamacare,
it’s
clear
that
the
law
is
the
wrong
direction
for
the
country.
I
fully
support
its
repeal
so
we
can
move
forward
with
healthcare
reform
that
addresses
our
country’s
healthcare
problems
without
making
it
harder
for
our
families
and
businesses
to
get
by.

Giving
Our
Kids
the
Best
Possible
Education
This
week,
I
joined
Louisiana
Governor
Bobby
Jindal
in
defending
parents’
ability
to
give
their
kids
the
best
chance
to
succeed.
Parents
should
be
able
to
choose
schools
based
on
the
opportunity
it
provides,
rather
than
being
told
where
their
child
will
go
to
school
based
on
nothing
more
than
a
zip
code.
Rich
and
poor,
school
choice
is
good
for
kids
across
the
board.
Just
like
school
choice,
I
believe
that
flexibility
is
important
for
states
and
school
districts
when
it
comes
to
developing
the
best
standards
by
which
to
measure
success
in
educating
our
kids.
That’s
why
I
oppose
the
federal
government’s
mandate
of
Common
Core
standards
on
states
as
a
prerequisite
for
critical
education
funding.
There
is
no
question
we
need
high
standards
by
which
to
measure
our
schools
and
ensure
success
–
but
I
do
not
believe
Washington
is
in
the
best
position
to
determine
what
those
standards
should
be.
We
need
to
move
past
the
notion
that
the
federal
government
knows
best
when
it
comes
to
the
unique
needs
of
our
students
and
communities.
Bi-Partisan
Call
for
the
Obama
Administration
to
Keep
Its
Promises
On
Wednesday,
I
was
pleased
to
lead
a
bi-partisan
South
Carolina
delegation
in
calling
on
the
Obama
Administration
to
uphold
its
commitments
and
complete
construction
of
the
mixed
oxide
fuel
fabrication
facility
(MOX)
at
Savannah
River
Site.
Not
only
is
this
facility
important
for
our
national
security
efforts,
but
the
administration’s
failure
to
support
its
mission
will
end
up
costing
taxpayers
far
more
money
than
getting
the
facility
completed
and
operational.
I’m
grateful
that
Congressman
Jim
Clyburn
joined
this
call
to
get
the
administration
to
follow
through
on
its
commitment
to
taxpayers
and
the
state
of
South
Carolina,
and
I
also
appreciate
the
support
of
Senator
Lindsey
Graham
and
Congressmen
Joe
Wilson,
Jeff
Duncan,
Trey
Gowdy,
Mick
Mulvaney,
and
Tom
Rice.
Thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
serve
you
and
our
great
state.
If
you
have
any
questions,
concerns,
or
thoughts,
please
do
not
hesitate
to
contact
my
office.
We
are
happy
to
help
in
any
way
possible.
God
bless,
Tim
