ICYMI: Senator Tim Scott’s CHOICE Act, School Choice Push Grabs Headlines

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tim Scott’s efforts to ensure every child has the opportunity for a quality education has grabbed national headlines this week. Scott, along with Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN), launched a new school choice effort at the American Enterprise Institute this Tuesday.

Scott’s Creating Hope and Opportunity for Individuals and Communities through Education (CHOICE) Act will expand educational opportunities for children with disabilities, children living on military bases, and children living in impoverished areas. It is a key cog in the Senator’s Opportunity Agenda, which he announced earlier this month.
